摘要
会稽郡,地处吴越故地,是秦汉时期江南地区的大郡。秦朝始设,两汉沿置,两汉之际,不少中原移民避乱迁徙江南,会稽人口增长迅速,东汉顺帝永建四年,会稽郡分置吴郡,分置前,会稽郡为扬州五郡中的第一大郡,辖区最大,人口最多,分置后,户口减半,实力减弱,但仍是东汉政权的江南要郡、南方重镇。东汉时期,会稽郡的历任太守在移风易俗、崇兴教化、兴修水利、扬善抑恶、巩固边防等方面,治理有绩,呈现出阶段性特点。建武年间,移风易俗,人才辈出;明、章、安、顺时期,经济发展,文教兴盛;顺帝以降,治理乏善,乱中有稳。区域社会发展呈现出充满活力,但内部发展不平衡的特征。
Kuaiji Prefecture, located in the ancient land of Wu and Yue, was a large prefecture in Jiangnan area during Qinand Han Dynasties. It was first set up by Qin Dynasty and still kept in Han Dynasties. During the time betEastern Han, many people in the Central Plains migrated to Jiangnan area and the the year of Emperor Shun of Eastern Han, Kuaiji Prefecture was divided into newKuaiji and Wu. Before the division, Kuaiji was the biggest prefecture and had the largest population in Yangzhou. After the division, its households and power became less, but it was still an important prefecture in Jiangnan area. In Eastern Han Dynasty, the governors of Kuaiji made achievements inchanging customs, improving education, building water conservancy, suppressing evil and promoting good, consolidating frontier defense and so on. In the years of Jianwu, its customs changed and people of talent appeared. During the periods of Ming, Zhang, An and Shun, its economy, culture and education developed. After the period of Emperor Shun, for its governance, there was stability in the mess. The social development was full of life and imbalanccd internally.
