摘要
为满足科学研究和工程应用中对多通道、高精度时间间隔测量的需求,基于TDC-GPX2时间数字转换芯片设计了一款四通道精密时间间隔测量仪,根据功能控制模块的设置,仪器可实现对不同通道输入信号时间间隔的高精度测量。详细论述了系统的测量原理,硬件组成和软件设计,并搭建实验平台对仪器的性能进行测试与分析。实验结果表明:设计的时间间隔测量仪测量精度优于20 ps,并具有良好的准确性,接入5 MHz的时钟参考其量程可达3.34 s,基本满足大多数时间频率应用领域对测量设备的性能需求。
In order to meet the requirement of high precision time interval measurement, a four-channel instrument is designed based on the chip of TDC-GPX2. It can realize the precise time interval measurement according to the setting of its control module. The time measuring principle, hardware and software design are introduced in detail, a platform is built to test its performance. Experimental results show that the measuring accuracy is better than 20 ps, its range can up to 3.34 s while inputting 5 MHz reference frequency, can meet the needs for time interval measurement in most applications.
