摘要
索引是分类法的一种重要工具,提供从主题到类目的检索途径,具有集中显示分散在分类表中有关同一事物各方面的类目的功用。本文介绍了索引的计算机辅助编制系统的结构和功能,总结了用链式索引与题内关键词索引(KWIC)相结合的技术为《中国图书馆分类法》(第四版)编制轮排索引的过程,从而证实了用计算机编制链式索引的可行性。
Index is an important tool of library classifications, which provides the access to a class number from a subject term. The paper introduces the constitution and performance of the computer-aided display system, summarizes the compiling process of permuted descriptors of the Chinese Library Classification(4th edition) with the techniques combining chain procedure with KWIC, and demonstrates the feasibility of computer-aided chain display.
