摘要
隐喻发生的基本原理是转义生成。作为人类思维的两种基本形式,隐喻和转喻对应的符号结构分别是聚合关系(paradigmatic relation)和组合关系(syntagmatic relation)。电影符号学者麦茨立足于拉康的精神分析传统,认为电影语言中隐喻和转喻的无意识工作原理分别是"凝缩"和"移置"。前者为了捕捉"真理的微光"而在隐喻轴上打开了一个巨大的想象空间,后者则在转喻轴上形成了"想象的能指"(imaginary signifier)。在视觉修辞的意义机制中,视觉隐喻依赖于视觉元素所构成的转喻结构,而且在图像文本的聚合轴上实现了隐喻意义的生产。我们可以根据本体与喻体的"在场"方式差异,将视觉隐喻的工作原理区分为构成性视觉隐喻和概念性视觉隐喻。
The founding principle of metaphor is cross-domain mapping.As two basic forms of human mind,metaphor and metonymy correspond respectively to the symbolic structure of paradigmatic relation and syntagmatic relation.Based on the psychanalysis of Jacques Lacan,Christian Metz claims that the unconscious mechanism of metaphor and metonymy in film should be condensation and displacement.Condensation can open a huge imaginative space on the metaphor axis in order to chase "the glimmer of light of truth" and displacement could produce metaphoric meaning on the paradigmatic axis of image based on the metonymic structure composed of visual elements.According to the difference of the being of tenor and vehicle,we could summarize the working mechanism of visual metaphor as compositional visual metaphor and conceptual visual metaphor.
