摘要
针对自由空间激光通信系统中通信链路性能的精确测试需求,设计了一款具备光学保偏性能的无级衰减器。基于三维偏振光追迹方法建立了光学保偏的数学模型;并利用两块相同的斜方棱镜,使其入射面在空间上相互垂直,实现了偏振像差的相互补偿。通过理论分析和数值模拟,所设计的衰减器达到了较高的技术指标:能量衰减系数的动态范围为-40d B^-3d B、衰减误差小于0.5%、系统波像差RMS优于λ/20(λ=974nm)。
A stepless attenuator with polarization-independent performance is designed for the accurate test demand of the communication link performance in free space laser communication system. The mathematic model of polarization preserving is established based on the 3D polarization ray tracing method. Two rhombic prisms are used to balance the polarization aberration,and the incident surfaces of the rhombic prisms are perpendicular to each other. The results of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the designed attenuator achieved high technical index:the dynamic range of attenuation coefficient is-40 d B^-3d B,the attenuation error is less than 0.5%,and the wavefront aberration is less than λ/20(λ =974nm).
