摘要
通识教育是高等教育的组成部分,是有别于专业教育却又与专业教育相互渗透的"非专业性、非功利性、非职业性的教育"。我国通识教育最早可追溯到汉三国时期的"通才教育",其在我国经历了曲折的发展历程。以复旦大学和香港中文大学为代表的现代大学书院进行通识教育实践,是我国大学书院实施通识教育的重要探索。开展通识教育是现代大学书院建设的重要内容,现代大学书院的通识教育应自觉与大学本科教育宗旨相一致,从组织模式变革的角度看,实行书院制改革对高校实施通识教育具有制度变革的重要意义;现代大学书院要自觉吸收中国传统文化的精华,开展传统文化教育是现代大学书院教育的重要任务;现代大学书院在人才培养上要始终坚持以人为本,摒弃"功能优先"的导向,把"人"的发展放在最核心的位置。
As an integral part of higher education, general education is not a type of "professional, utilitarian and vocational" education. It is different from but also entangled with professional education. Traced back to the "generalist education" in the Hart dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, general education in China has undergone a tortuous course of development. It is an important exploration to carry out general education at the academies in modem universities such as Fudan University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. General education, which is essential for the construction of modem academies, should be consistent with the objective of undergraduate education. In terms of organizational changes, the system reform of academies will significantly promote general education at colleges and universities. Modem academies should consciously absorb the essence of traditional culture, and complete the important task of traditional culture education. As for talent cultivation, modem academies should constantly focus on human development based on a people-oriented principle instead of a function- oriented mechanism.
