摘要
本文运用图像学的基本方法,结合《山海经》等传世文献,对楚地操蛇图像遗存进行综述,并从舞蹈本体出发重点对楚巫操蛇图像展开分析,以探讨上古时期以通神巫师操蛇为仪式中心的舞蹈活动,进而尝试挖掘其存在的文化史学意义。"操蛇舞"是先秦时期广泛流行的一种以巫师操蛇为主体的群体性舞蹈祭祀活动,它以神秘迷狂、惊险刺激的感官体验备受楚人青睐,体现了上古先民从惧怕、崇拜自然到认识、掌控自然的心路历程。文章认为楚巫操蛇舞图像遗存是"操蛇舞"从乐神向娱人转化的历史见证。
By applying methods of iconology and combining with Chinese Ancient Books such as Shan Hai Jing,this paper,in the perspective of dance ontology,attempts to review the image remains of controlling snakes in Chu area,and mainly analyzes the image of the dance of controlling snakes performed by wizard of Chu,so as to explore the dance activity taking wizard as the center of ritual and the significance of cultural history of these image remains. Meanwhile,this paper points out that the dance of controlling snakes was a popular ritual activity during pre-Qin period. Because it was mystical and thrilling,it was pursued by Chu people,and it revealed the mental journey of the ancient people from worshiping gods to conquering the nature. Moreover,this paper also argues that the image of the dance of controlling snakes performed by wizard in Chu was a historical evidence of the transformation from honoring the gods to entertaining the people.
