摘要
H指数作为评价研究者学术影响力的参考依据得到了学界的广泛认可。文章在H指数的基础上,引入时间因素,构建Ht指数,对CNKI数据库中1994—2014年旅游研究领域129位学者的引文数据进行统计分析,测度了我国旅游研究者的学术影响力,在此基础上探讨了我国旅游学科发展的趋势。研究结果表明,在考虑时间因素的情况下,我国旅游研究者Ht指数普遍低于H指数;20世纪60年代出生的旅游研究者是当前我国旅游学术研究领域中的中坚力量,拥有较为显著的学术影响力;职称、高校层次等对我国旅游研究者Ht指数有着显著的影响。Ht指数与H指数的对比可以反映出旅游学术研究特定领域变化,其中,旅游规划与设计、旅游地理学和旅游管理学等一直是旅游领域的研究热点,而旅游经济学等也日益受到研究者的关注。
The H index is a widely-recognized method for evaluating scholars＇ academic influence.By introducing the time factor,this paper constructed the Ht index to analyze the citation data of 129 tourism scholars in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI） database from 1994 to 2014.The scholar sample is the same as that used in the previous paper of Zhang,et al.（2017） for the purpose of comparison.In this paper,we not only evaluate the academic influence of tourism scholars,but also discuss the effect and mechanism of age,professional title and university level on their personal academic influence.Also,we probed the development of various tourism disciplines in this period.Our research results show that,in the case of the time factor,tourism scholars＇ Ht indices are generally lower than their H indices.The distribution of average Ht index of different age groups displays an inverted U-shape.Tourism scholars born in the 1960s not only have the largest number of citations,but also have highest average Ht indices.They are the backbone of the academic tourism research field,and have notable academic influence.The tourism scholars born in the 1940s take second place,but their Ht indices have a higher standard deviation,indicating some of them are still active in academic research while others may be declining.For scholars born in the 1970s and 1980s,although they are coming into prominence quickly,they are in their academic growth stage,and have a long way to go.Based on the econometric estimation results of such influence factors on Ht index,we found that tourism scholars＇ Ht indices are influenced by diverse factors.The level of university of can promote the academic influence of tourism scholars through the inspiring and filtering effects,indicating that there is a synergy mechanism between the Ht index and universities＇ high professional requirements for tourism scholars.Different universities have different research atmospheres,and different criteria of performance assessment and promotion for their academics.These criteria encourage tourism scholars to pursue recognition through distinguished performance,which plays a positive role in promoting their academic influence.The Ht index of tourism scholars with professor and PhD-supervisor titles is higher than those without such titles.Academic communities and networks have an obvious impact on tourism scholars＇ Ht indices.Tourism scholars with PhD-supervisor titles generally have larger academic communities and networks,which include their PhD students.These PhD students generally have stronger research ability than masters＇ students;some of them even become future research experts.Additionally,the citation of these PhD students will increase Ht indices and academic influence of tourism scholars with PhD-supervisor titles.The comparison of Ht and H indices can reflect the trend of discipline development,indicating that topics such as tourism planning and design,tourism geography and tourism management are constantly active tourism academic research focuses,while tourism economics has attracted more and more scholars＇ attention in recent years.In contrast,considering the factor of time,the marginal utility of tourism discipline closely related to application is decreasing,while some theoretical disciplines acquire more and more attention.The Ht index method takes time into consideration,making up the deficiency of H index methods to evaluate academic performance.In addition,the Ht index method can help to objectively reflect the development research productivity and academic impact of tourism scholars.Furthermore,the evaluation of tourism scholars＇ research performance in China can help provide an overall understanding of the most up-to-date research developments within Chinese tourism academic disciplines.
