高速传输系统中高阶PMD的影响 被引量:7

HIGHER-ORDER PMD EFFECTS ON HIGH BIT-RATE TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS

摘要 研究由于偏振模色散 (PMD)引起的时域脉冲响应 从传输矩阵的角度分析了包含各阶与频率相关的差分相时延 (DPD)、主偏振态 (PSP)对脉冲波形的影响 ,并通过仿真结果验证理论的有效性 同时 ,也分析了PMD对系统带来的眼图代价 ,对 Polarization mode dispersion(PMD) has been the dominant source of system penalty in high bit rate transmission systems.Especially when the first order PMD can be totally compensated,the higher order PMD will become the final obstacle.The exact PMD time impulse response is given.Based on the Jones matrix,accounting for all order frequency variation of the differential group delay(DGD) and of the principle states of polarization (PSP),the pulse distortion due to PMD is analyzed.The simulation results demonstrate the validity of the theoretic analysis.In addition,an anticipated penalty of 40Gb/s optical transmission system due to second order PMD is presented as the simulation results.
