摘要
流行性乙型脑炎病毒(JEV)是具有严重危害的人畜共患病病原,感染人后入侵中枢神经系统,致死或者留下永久性神经系统后遗症。JEV还可以感染猪群,造成种猪繁殖障碍,仔猪脑炎,给养猪业带来损失。MicroRNA作为一种在转录后水平发挥基因调控功能的非编码小分子RNA,参与到细胞生长、分化、凋亡和代谢等生命过程,并且在病毒感染入侵及宿主细胞的抗病毒方面起着重要的调节作用。此文综述了当前已证实的microRNA对JEV复制及发病机制的调控作用研究。了解宿主microRNA在JEV感染过程中的可能导致识别阻断JEV复制或细胞特异性调节病毒载体靶向的新机制,并提出了防控JEV的可能途径。
The Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a severe pathogen of zoonotic infectious diseases. The JEV targets the central nervous system, leading to death or perpetual neurological sequelae in some of those who survived. The JEV is maintained in pigs, resulting in reproductive failure in swine and encepha- litis in piglets, causing significant losses to the pig industry. MicroRNA (a single-stranded non-coding RNA that acts as post-transcriptional regulator) takes part in a wide range of cell processes: growth, dif- ferentiation, apoptosis and metabolism. MicroRNA also plays an important part in viral entry and the anti- viral response in host cells. We reviewed recent studies on the interaction between the JEV and cellular mi- croRNAs. We discussed how, during viral infection, cellular microRNAs may lead to identification of the novel mechanisms to block viral replication or cell-specific regulation of targeting of viral vectors. In addi- tion, we postulated possible ways to prevent and control the JEV.
