摘要
高中阶段各学科标准经过数年的修订,即将颁布。新课标一个最重要的特点是提出了"核心素养"的概念。除了总体的核心素养外,各学科还提出了"学科核心素养"。本文对高中英语课程标准修订版征求意见稿中提出的英语学科核心素养进行了分析。英语学科的核心素养为"语言能力、学习能力、文化品格和思维品格"。作者认为,外语学科属于语言类学科之一,其对学生核心素养的培养具有重要的作用。但是,外语学科与母语语文学科又有所不同,其涉及到与母语系统所不相同的语言技能,不同的交际规则,不同的文化内容,因此,英语学科的核心素养有别于语文学科,应该特别强调涉外、跨文化、国际视野等方面的特点。也就是说,英语学科的核心素养应该细化到具体的语言能力、文化品格和思维品格。至于学习能力,除了在基础阶段可以强调与外语学习特别有关的学习方法外,到了高中阶段,学习能力应该与思维品格结合,不必单独作为学科核心素养之一。
The Revised English Curriculum Standards For Senior High School Students are expected to be issued soon. A new concept, "key competency" is put forward in the revised version. This paper analy- zes the several components of the Key Competencies proposed for English as a foreign language for sen- ior high school students, i.e. linguistic competence, learning ability, cultural character and thinking ability. The author holds that a foreign language contributes in a unique way to the general linguistic competence and overall competences of a student. But it involves quite different linguistic, communicative skills and cultural content from the students' first language. Therefore, "knowledge of foreign cultures", "interna- tional vision", "cross-cultural awareness", etc. should be the major components of key competencies for English as a foreign language while learning ability might be incorporated as one of its components and manifestations of thinking ability.
