摘要
顺应现代社会的发展,法律英语作为一种特殊的社会现象,正经历由法律措辞(legalese)向简明化英语(plain English)发展的一种趋势。探讨西方法学界和语言学界对这一问题看法,提出在法律英语发展过程中出现的一些主要用词特征。
With the development of the modern society,legal English,as a special social phenomenon,is experiencing the transition from legalese to plain English.This paper discussed the diverse opinions of some experts in law and linguistics,and summarized the changes of vocabulary in legal English.
