格里特·格里姆于1973年出生于德国哈雷,1995年,在德国布尔格尔的“Altb.rgeler blau-weiss GmbH”完成陶瓷技艺的学习,之后受聘于Joachim Jung在Glashagen工作。后就读德国哈雷艺术与设计学院本科。毕业后获得德国国际学术合作DAAD政府补助,在密歇根艺术与设计大学进修,获得硕士学位。2004年在阿尔弗雷德大学的纽约州立陶艺学院获得艺术硕士学位。曾在CSULB、匹泽学院、多恩学院和密歇根州立大学波兹曼学院任教,并在麦科尔中心、比米斯中心,科勒艺术与工业项目和阿奇布雷基金会驻地工作。现于美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校任副教授。
Gerit Grimm was born in Harley, Germany in 1973. She finished the study of ceramic technique at Altbürgeler blau-weiss GmbH. Then, she was employed by Joachim Jung and worked at Glashagen. After that, she entered Harley College of Art and Design for the undergraduate degree and gained the government subsidy of international academic cooperation after she graduated from it. She obtained a master’s degree when she finished the further study at Michigan Art and Design University. In 2004, she gained the degree of Master of Arts from New York State College of Pottery, University of Alfred. She used to be a teacher at CSULB, Pitzer College, Donne College and Bozeman College, Michigan State University. She worked at Mc Call Center, Bemis Center, Kohler Art and Industry Project and the Achibray Foundation. Now, she is an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin.
