摘要
本文首先对修辞学和语用学进行界定,发现两者有共同的地方,这是对修辞翻译进行语用分析的理论基础,接着指出修辞翻译应是等效,最后指出如何做到等效翻译。
Definitions of rhetoric and pragmatics show they share common grounds, which underlies the pragmatic analysis of Chinese-English translation of rhetoric. Translation of rheto-ric should aim at equivalent effect. Methods are outlined.
