摘要
本文基于系统功能语言学,尤其是内部的加的夫语法模式,探讨现代汉语副词"就"字的用法,旨在明确它在不同情况下表达的各种意义以及相应的句法功能。研究结果表明:副词"就"字可表经验意义、人际意义和逻辑意义;其经验意义包括时间指示意义以及时间、范围、原因、目的和数量等限制意义;人际意义主要指情态意义;逻辑意义主要涵盖承接、条件、目的、原因和假设等逻辑语义关系;在句法中,"就"字对应经验意义说明助动词或推断语成分,对应人际意义说明助动词成分,对应逻辑意义说明连接词或粘合词成分。
Based on Systemic Functional Linguistics and one of its models,the Cardiff Grammar in particular,this paper investigates the Chinese character adverb jiu with the aim to specify its meanings in different contexts and the corresponding syntactic elements it expounds.The research results show that the adverb jiu may express experiential,interpersonal and logical meanings.The experiential meaning includes the deictic temporal meaning and the specification meanings of time,scope,cause,purpose,amount,etc.;the interpersonal meaning is mainly confined to modality;and the logical meaning has in its scope sequence,condition and result,purpose and measure,cause and result and postulation and result.Corresponding with its experiential,interpersonal and logical meanings,the character jiu expounds respectively the Auxiliary or the Inferer/inferer element,the Auxiliary element and the Linker or Binder element in the syntactic structure.
