现代经济全球化的基本特征及其对西部开发的作用和影响是什么?面对现代经济的全球化，西部开发所面临的机遇和挑战又是什么?本文仅就上述问题作一简要分析，并在此基础上提出西部开发应采取的具体政策建议。
