Abstract This paper presents a review of some recently developed results in the area of parallel numerical methods for initial value problems for ordinary differential equations. The discussion includes the parallel algorithms across the method and the construction and analysis of these parallel algorithms for solving nonstiff and stiff systems for the ordinary differential equations. Various parallelism approaches are also considered.
