摘要
译文加注是一种重要的翻译补偿手段,其中阐释类译注最为常见。本文选取伍光建英译的《英汉对照名家小说选》为例,对选集中的阐释类译注进行分类梳理,从释名物、释典故、释文化、释情节和释词义这五大方面进行探讨,以帮助读者更好了解译者注的阐释功能。
Translator＇s notes are an important method of translation compensation, with expounding as their most common function. This paper will take Woo Kuangkien＇s translation series World Famous Novels （English-Chinese Bilingual Edition ） as a case study anddiscuss the expounding functions of translator＇s notes in the texts. The notes will be classified into five main groups, namely, expounding on the proper names, allusions, cultural items, plot and words.
