Carbon tax have been advocated as a cost - effective instrument for reducing carbon emissions to control carbon dioxide, which has increasingly become the focus of attention. By introducing the meaning of carbon tax, the theoretical basis of carbon tax, domestic and international developments of carbon tax, analyzing the effect of carbon tax on thermal power generation industry. In summary, proposing concrete countermeasures to improve the level of energy conservation on thermal power generation industry and competitive position in future electricity market.
