摘要
词义是在语言运用的历史中产生和发展的,既有承传,又有变异,语文辞书要准确地说解词语的意义,必须正确认识二者的关系。一方面,要认识词义承传及其在语文辞书释义中的体现,使读者了解词义的"所以然";另一方面,要注意揭示词义的变异及其理据,从语言事实出发做出得体的释义。
The meaning of a word,which is created and developed in the history of language use,is both inheriting and changing. To define word meaning accurately,lexicographers must have a correct understanding of the relation between the inheritance and changes of word meaning. On the one hand,they should reveal the inheritance of word meaning in dictionary entry definition,so that dictionary users can know why a word has such a meaning. On the other hand,they should focus on disclosing the changes of word meaning and the motivations behind these changes,so that the words can be defined based on linguistic facts.
