摘要
通过分析各类语篇,指出Halliday和Hasan笼统分析语篇衔接会引起对衔接的描述含混不清或以偏概全、遮蔽语篇"雅异性"特点等不良结果。提出语篇衔接功能和语篇特点的新见解:(1)衔接根据是否生成语篇特性可以分为甲乙两类,甲类衔接产生语篇特性,乙类衔接则实现雅异性;乙类衔接产生的形式上的"连贯",是连贯的假象,实质上是一种"避复"的美学效果;(2)语篇特点除语篇内容上的统一性、连贯性(语篇特性)外,还往往体现为表达上的雅异性。目的在于提供合理化的解释和启示。
This paper aimed at analyzing the defects of Halliday and Hasan＇ s indistinct research of cohesion, which results in vague reference of cohesion and prevents elegant variation from being known as a text feature. It intended to provide a rational note and suggestion by proposing the follow- ing ideas ： text features are reflected in content by unity, coherence （texture） created by A-type cohe- sion, and in expression elegant variation realized by B-type cohesion, and the ＂coherence＂ produced by B-type cohesion is not a true form but an aesthetic effect of elegant variation.
