开放获取——学术期刊低成本高显示度的重要出版策略 被引量:15

Open access: an important publication strategy for low-cost and high-visibility of journals

摘要 【目的】了解国内外开放获取的发展现状,分析实现开放获取对学术期刊的影响。【方法】研究Springer旗下新刊Nanoscale Research Letters和Nano Research以及进行开放获取改造后的现有学报Optics Express、Cell Research的出版速度、下载量、影响力等。【结果】数字化出版、开放获取是新创办学术期刊低成本高显示度的重要途径,也是快速提高期刊学术影响力的重要出版形式。数字化在线开放获取已经被Nature、Science、Cell实践于新刊创办中,也是NPG集团与我国合作创办新刊的出版模式。【结论】学术期刊在出版传播方式上采用开放获取是取得快速成功的重要因素之一,与世界知名且相对成熟的数字化出版商合作,借用其便捷成熟的Open Access通道,可以提高读者覆盖范围、传播效率和下载频次。 [Purposes]This study aims at understanding the status quo of open access( OA) development in China and other countries in the world and analyzing the effect of OA on journals. [Methods] This paper investigated the newjournals of Springer including Nanoscale Research Letters and Nano Research,and the current journals such as Optics Express and Cell Research,in the aspects of publication speed,download amount and impact. [Findings] Digital publishing and OA are the important approaches to realize the low-cost and high-visibility publication and they are also significant to increase rapidly the academic impact of journals.Nowdigital on-line OA has been applied in the foundation of newjournals by Science and Nature,and it is also used in the cofounded journals by China and NPG group. [Conclusions] OA is one of the most important factors for the rapid success of the journals in publication and communication. We could cooperate with the famous and fully-fledged digital publishers and make use of their convenient OA path in order to increase the number of readers,spreading efficiency and download frequency of the papers in Chinese journals.
