摘要
桑白皮具有清肺热、利尿之功,"泻肺之有余,非桑白皮不可",主要应用于两方面:肺热引起的咳吐黄痰(痰中带血);小便不利,味甘性寒。适用于肺中水气互结或肺热,忌用于肺虚或小便过多、风寒感冒咳嗽。本文通过对其功效主治本草考证,为后续相关研究奠定基础。
Mori Cortex primarily settles cough and wheezing due to heat, and it also facilitates urination. It is said that ＂draining lung excess will not be successful without Mori Cortex.＂ It is most commonly used in two areas： cough and wheezing with yellow sputum （or blood in the sputum） due to heat from excess in the lungs, and for edema with urinary difficulty due to heat from excess. It is sweet in taste and cold in nature. It drains the lungs-it is only appropriate when there is water qi stagnation in the midst of the lungs, or the lungs have fire from excess. Its nature is not entirely beneficial, so it should not be overused. It is forbidden in those with lung deficiency and excessive urination, and also for cough from externally-contracted wind-cold. This article reviewed function and indication of Chinese herb Sang-Bai-Pi （Mori Cortex） from literatures, which provided relevant reference information for subsequent researches.
