摘要
建筑要继承但不可迷失于文化传统。"救亡"的需要催生了"民族形式",而"多元化"的思潮又促成了"本土建筑学"。然而两者均有文化问题政治解决的味道。本文以为在今古之间,或中西之间,无须增设藩篱,临与不临,皆非大道。要者在消除成见,而意由情生。
Architecture should carry but not get lost in cultural tradition. The need of ＂salvation＂ has given birth to ＂National Style＂ while the trend of ＂pluralism＂ has contributed to ＂Indigenous Architecture＂. However, both are political ways of addressing cultural problems. This essay states that there is no need to set boundary between modern and history, or between east and west. It is neither ＂copy＂ nor ＂not copy＂ that really matters, but eliminating stereotypes and following passion.
