Mo's Mischiefseries once enjoyed amazing popularity in China but seems to be unpopular overseas. The book in fact "sells well but is not widely recognized" in China. This is the "Mo's Mischief phenomenon",which is perhaps of typical significance. This essay suggests that this phenomenon is closely related to factors including communication strategy, the translator's translation strategy, the author's cross-cultural perspective, nativeness of China's children's literature and the maturity of market.
