摘要
美国高校早期儿童教育专业培养的是从事0-8岁儿童教育的师资。统计表明。美国目前大约有227所高校设立了早期儿童教育专业，具有教育层次高、专业领域宽、培养方案可操作性强、教师资格认证严格、培养网络化等特点。美国高校早期儿童教育专业发展的经验，对我国学前教育专业建设与改革有借鉴意义。
Early childhood education major in American universities is to train teachers for 0-8 year old children. Statistics show that there are at least 227 colleges and universities with early childhood education major. The features they share include higher educational level, wide major field, practicable degree plans, strict teacher certification and networking. The experience of early childhood education major development in American universities is instructive for current preschool education reform in China.
