摘要
大同女学是近代苏州办学成绩优良、享有盛誉的女学堂,1909年的《申报》却有文章污蔑其浪得虚名,且师生之间有暧昧情事发生。苏州士绅随后进行辩诬。同年发表的小说《好姻缘》继续对大同女学进行攻击,是为典型的"谤书"。
Datong Women’s School was one of the well recognized and organized women’s schools in modern Suzhou. But there were libelous articles published in Shen Pao in 1909 to discredit its reputation and imply love affairs between teachers and students. The social elites in Suzhou immediately responded for clariifcation. In the same year, the ifction Good M arriage was published to continue the attack at Datong Women’s School, as a typical book of libel.
