Three-point bending behavior of sandwich beams in aluminum foam

摘要 采用三点弯曲实验方法,研究以铝为面板的泡沫铝夹层梁的弯曲变形行为。研究表明,所有夹层梁的三点弯曲力-位移曲线都包括线性区、力快速下降区和平台区。在三点弯曲过程中,夹层梁和泡沫铝的力-位移曲线变化趋势相似,夹层梁的力-位移曲线远高于泡沫铝和2倍面板的力-位移曲线之和。夹层梁的抗弯强度随着面板厚度的增加而增大,随着芯板厚度的增加而减小。且当面板厚度由1 mm增加为3 mm时,截面面积增加了15%,其极限载荷增加了149%。泡沫芯板的初始压塌和剪切破坏,以及在大弯曲载荷下的粘接界面的分层是夹层梁弯曲过程中的主要失效模式。 The bending behaviors of sandwich beams in aluminum foam with glued aluminum panel (AFS) were investigated by static three-point bending test. The results show that the load-displacement curves of all studied AFS consist of three regions : a linear region, a rapid-drop region of load and a plateau region. The load-displacement curve of AFS is similar to that of aluminum foam and its value is significantly higher than the sum of values for aluminum foam and two times of panel. The bending strength of sandwich beam increases with the increase of the panel thickness and decreases with the increase of the foam core thickness. When the panel thickness increases from 1 mm to 3 mm, the cross-sectional area is increased by 15% , and the ultimate load is increased by 149%. The main failure modes of AFS are initial collapse and shear failure of foam core, as well as the delamination of glued interface at large bending loads.
