摘要
本文根据史料、碑文考证、现场访问和地质、地貌、水文调查资料,论证了湖南“大庸1786年茅岩地震山崩,河道雍塞,逆流数十里”并非地震造成,而是外动力触发的地质现象。作者据此认为不存在1786年(乾隆五十一年)
This paper describes a earthquake of 1786 in Maoyan Dayong Hunan Province. To outward seeming, this event caused landslide, the river was clogged, risen and flowed agajnst the current for several ten Km. Acturally all these are not caused by earthquake, but by geological phenomenon of outside force. This fact was proved on the basis of historical data, textural research of inscriptions on tablets, spot visit and investigation data of geology, landform and hydrology. Therefore, the author refutes this earth quake which records in the Catalogue of Chinese Earthquake. ( Printed in 1971 )
