The working principle and characteristics of a chlorine centrifugal compressor were described. The running conditions of the device in conveying chlorine produced at ion-exchange membrane caustic soda plants of Chlor - Alkali Chemical Co. , Ltd. of China National Salt Industry Corporation were introduced. The process conditions to ensure long-term running of chlorine centrifugal compressor were discussed.
