摘要
孔子是旷古未有的教育家;他的教育思想对现今的教育实践有着行之有效的指导意义,对英语教育教学固然也有很好的现实指导意义。在当代中国,孔子的教育思想被国学大师们深入研究并广泛传播;但在英语教学中,无论是被了解程度还是实际应用,孔子的教育思想都还存在某种程度的缺失。分析孔子教育思想内涵,分析其对英语教学的启示,分析其在英语教学中缺失的原因和影响并提出相应对策,从而提高当代英语教学整体水平。
Confucius was a great thinker and an outstanding educationist.Although Confucian educational ideology has been studied thoroughly and spread extensively by the masters in sinology in China , it hasn ’ t been compre-hended and applied adequately by most English teachers.By analyzing the intension of Confucian educational ideol-ogy and the relation between it and English teaching , analyzing the reasons of the lack of Confucian educational ideology and effects of the lack and put forward countermeasures correspondingly , we can apply Confucian educa-tional ideology in English teaching scientifically and improve our English teaching level totally.
