OBJECTIVE To explore risk factors of nosocomial infections existing in the ultrasound clinics and formulate control measures to reduce nosocomial infections.METHODS Patients in ultrasound clinics before the year 2012 and their infection situations were analyzed, management measures for nosocomial infections in the ultrasound clinics targeted at risk factors and the measures were formally implemented in Apr.2012.Totally 385 patients in ultrasound clinics from Apr.2011 to Mar.2012 were chosen as the control group, and 403 patients from Apr.2012 to Mar.2013 were chosen as the observation group.Pathological data of the two groups of patients were retrospectively analyzed, and the ultrasound medical equipment, other equipment and staff hands were regularly microbiologically monitored after implementation of the measures.RESULTS There were 47 cases of nosocomial infection ins the control group, the infection rate was 12.21%;there was no infection cases in the observation group. After the implementation of control measures, the environmental microbiological monitoring showed the total number of bacterial colonies was(128.63±4.20)CFU/m^3 in the air,3.86±0.72CFU/cm^2 on the equipment surface,(2.38 ± 0.40)CFU/cm^2 on staff hands, and the pass rate of medical equipment disinfection was 100.0%.CONCLUSION Enhancement of control measures for nosocomial infections can effectively control the occurrence of nosocomial infections, which will help for early recovery of the patients.
