Technology of sludge reduction based on ozonation has good treatment effect and application prospect. Paper discussed the character of excess sludge in ozone cracking system, the impact on sludge reduction system and the optimal ozone dosage combining the recent academic achievements, and prospects the developing trend of the technology.
