Schiff's bases, as substrates, are important organic intermediates. Their recent applications in asymmetric catalytic hydrogenation, asymmetric chemical reduction and oxidation, asymmetric alkylidation of alpha-carbon atom, cyclic addition of [4 + 2], [3 + 2] and [2 + 2], as well as reactions with Lawessen's regent etc are reviewed.
