Carboxy-terminal phage display system has significant advantages over amino-terminal display System in several applications.It can be used to build and screen phage-displayed cDNA libraries,to study protein-protein in-teractions that require a free carboxy-terminus and display intracellular proteins that may interfer secertion.To build and screen phage-displayed cDNA libraries would be the most important applications of this kind of phage disply system and a mayjor motivating factor for its improvement.
