The equipment, experience and technique used by Nuclear Industry Aerial Measurement Center, in airborne radioactivity measurement during uranium protecting were described in this paper together with measured data over 3.758 million km 2. The inter-comparison of aerial measuring results between around Shijiazhuang City and Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant was provided. It is recommended that the aerial measurement data and materials gained over the past more 40 years of uranium protecting be made available to environmental radiation background evaluation.
