对译者来说,解读、翻译文学作品的主要客观依据是原作文本。问题是,即便原作文本提供的各种因素,例如词汇、句式、修辞手法等都是客观的,解读的途径仍千变万化、因人而异。《纪念爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》译文的经验揭示了翻译的辨证法:译无定法,却不是无法。
To a translator, the vital basis for interpreting and translating a literary text lies in the text itself,which provides various objective elements for the translator to consider. With this basis,however, there are still many ways of interpreting a text. The success of Chinese version of A Rose For Emily offers a dialectic view on translation: though there exist no fixed norms for translation, there are ways to success.
