2001年广东省燃料油消费量已达1039.5万吨,占全国燃料油消费的24％。广东省的燃料油主要用于发电、工业、运输业和商业服务业,省外调进和进口是供应的重要渠道。“十五”期间,西电东送和广东引进液化天然气势必对广东省的燃料油市场产生影响,但天然气和西电的技术经济特性差异对燃料油市场的影响程度不同。预计未来10年广东发电用燃料油需求量将大幅下降,2010年将降到约271万吨,仅为2001年消费量的41％,而工业用燃料油将继续以年均5％的速度增长,加上运输业和商业服务业的用油需求,到2010年广东燃料油消费总量将比2001年略有下降,但总规模仍然较大。
Fuel oil consumption in Guangdong Province in 2001 reached 10.395 million tons, 24 percent of the country's total. Fuel oil is used mainly for power generation, transportation and industrial, commercial and service purposes in the province. Supplies from outside the province and imports from abroad are the major sources for fuel oil. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period (2001-2005), West-to-East electricity transmission and LNG imports will inevitably exert influence on the fuel oil market in Guangdong. Natural gas and electricity from the country's western regions will have different influences on the fuel oil market because of their different technical and economic properties. But it is estimated that the demand for fuel oil in the power generation sector in Guangdong will drop significantly to 2.71 million tons by 2010, only 41 percent of the consumption in 2001. At the same time, however, the industrial consumption of fuel oil will continue to rise at an annual 5 percent growth rate. In sum, with the combined demands of the transportation, commercial and service sectors, total fuel oil consumption in Guangdong Province by 2010 will still be down slightly from 2001 levels.
