系统介绍了元数据的概念 ,元数据的作用和意义 ,元数据系统的组成 ,元数据标准等内容。展望了元数据技术的发展方向以及元数据在石油勘探开发中应用的前景 ,并就石油勘探开发领域如何利用元数据技术提出了一些建设性的意见和建议。
This paper outlines the concept, role and meaning, and standards of metadata as well as the key elements of metadat system. The development trend and prospects for application of metadata technology in petroleum exploration and production (E&P) are discussed.
