摘要
在王国维心目中 ,“古雅”之美就是指“时空之美”。艺术的“时间之美”有两层含义 ,一方面是指艺术作品中的节奏、韵律所体现出来的艺术家个体生命的存在感 ;另一方面 ,则是这个作品产生的历史感、年龄感。艺术的“空间之美”也有两层含义 ,一方面是指从作品中所体现的“神”“气”的氛围氤氲的“虚无飘渺之域”的审美境界 ,另一方面是指艺术家的修养、风格的高远。前者是生命的存在 ,后者是生命的自由。在艺术中 ,时、空之美的关系是统一而相互转化的。这就是“古雅”的本质 ,也是艺术美。
In Wang Guowei's eye, the beauty of 'classic elegance' means 'space time beauty'. 'Time beauty' of art means the rhythm of an artistic work and the existence of an individual artist life expressed in its metres, and its sense of history and age as well. 'Space beauty' of art means the aesthetic state of 'shen''qi'in an artistic work, and the superiority of the artist's accomplishment and manner. The former is an existence of life, and the latter is a freedom of life. The two are united and interchangable. This is the essence of 'classic elegance' as well as the essence of artistic beauty and formal beauty.
