Some Thoughts on the British Style Democracy

摘要在法治基础上保障个人的基本权利是英国式民主制度的核心,英国式民主的成型是一个长期的过程。在这一过程中,地理的、人口的、历史遗产等方面的因素都对其产生了影响。这些因素适时地、恰到好处地对英国式民主的创建,对形成目前的英国式民主起到了十分重要的作用。 The core of the British style democracy is the protection of individual rights on the basis of rule by law. The British style democracy has evolved in a long historical process in which many factors, such as those of geography, population and historical heritage, have exerted their respective influence. These factors rightly and properly played an important role in the establishment of the British style democracy and in the formation of current democracy.
