摘要
英文史料的准确翻译对历史研究具有重大意义 ,但这却不是件容易的事。译者除了要掌握一般的翻译技巧外 ,还必须结合英文史料的特点 ,在拥有一定的历史知识和语言知识的基础上 ,准确理解术语 ,选择词义 ,推敲各种史料的文体特征和语言风格 ,这样才能使译文忠实可靠 ,成为历史研究的依据。
To translate English historical materials properly is of great significance in the research of world history.In order to fulfil this task, the translator must have abundant knowledge of history and language.He should not only exert his basic skill in translation,but also take consideration of the characteristics of various English historical materials.He has to pay attention to some special terms, the old usage of English, the development of word meanings,the stylistic features and the language tone of the materials.Only in this way, can he produce an accurate version of translation to help the world history research.
