摘要
分析了主张历史地理学研究的时间上限从新石器时 代开始的原因和背景，从人地关系理论、历史文化地理学研究对象、历史文化发展的连续性 以及现有的条件等方面论证了历史地理学特别是历史文化地理学将旧石器时代纳入其研究范 围的必要性和可行性。
The author analyses the reason and background of hold ing the viewpoint of the research span of historical geography beginning from th e Neolithic Age, and demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of the Paleol ithic Age belonging to the research span of historical geography and historical cultural geography from such aspects as the theory of relation between human and nature, the res earch object of historical cultural geography, the continuity of historical cult ural development and the present condition.
