摘要
提高学生的言语能力是外语教学长期以来的目标。认知理论的发展 ,给如何培养和提高学生的言语能力提供了一个崭新的思路。而在语言中大量运用的隐喻 ,对于学生言语能力的提高有着极其深远的影响。本文试图通过对言语能力 ,认知理论 ,隐喻三者之间的关系的探讨 。
A long-term goal of EFL instructions has been to improve the linguistic abilities of students. The development of cognitive linguistics provides a new approach to cultivating and enhancing EFL learners' linguistic competence. This paper is meant to discuss the relationship between the linguistic abilities and cognitive theories and that between the cognitive approach and metaphor so as to reveal that correct understanding of metaphors helps improve linguistic competence greatly.
