摘要
本文以全国硕士研究生入学考试《英语考试大纲》(非英语专业 )对英译汉的要求为标准 ,以分析 1 999年该入学考试中英译汉一题的全文为依据 ,指出该题参考答案中有十余个词、短语甚至句子纯属误译。文章强调 :参考译文的编写者应忠实实践考试大纲提出的原则 ,严格依据上下文 ,力求译文准确、完整、通顺。
Guided by the principles in the program for National Entrance Test of English for MA/MS Candidates(NETEM) and based on a detailed analysis of the whole passage for E C translation in NETEM, 1999, the author corrected more than ten words, phrases and even sentences mistranslated in the standard reference answer. To provide a correct, complete and coherent translated text, it is suggested that translators concerned strictly follow the principles stipulated by the program and determine meanings in the target language with the help of the context.
