In this article,current status,teaching content,teaching system,teaching way and method about the present condition of document and retrieval course in colleges and universities has been analyzed.And the important ways have been put to strengthen the construction of documents and retrieval course which have expected the fixed the leaders'attention.And made the colleges and universities really become the cradle senior technicians and managers in the 21st century.
