Significant advances have been made in the production technologies, varieties and applications of polyphenylene sulfide, particularly the oxidative cationic polymerization technology, which is likely to reduce the production cost by 10%. The demand for polyphenylene sulfide is expected to be near 40000 t/a in the world by the mid 90's.
