In recent years,the SCI standard is poputarty used in China to evaluate the research level of basic subjects. The number of SCI papers is regarded as an important index in the evaluation of basic theory research for a unit or a person. At the same time,some units give high hortation to SCI paper in the awards of S&T achievements. But it is necessary to have a correct recognition in SCI paper. In fact,the SCI papers do not have same level,and are not all in high level. On this recognition,it suggests a way to correctly use the SCI standard in the evaluation of research achievements of basic theory,and analyzes the negative effects of misusing SCI standard to China's basic theory research.
