摘要
本文根据国际联机检索的经验,特别是结合DIALOG系统的实际,总结了一套行之有效的检索技巧:检索单元要选择基本术语,要避免使用频率过低的词,要使用基本词汇进行概念组配,要了解国外专业名词的习惯用法,要掌握英美某些英语单词的不同拼法;逻辑算符的优先顺序及其在构作检索式时的巧用;位置算符的特点、类型及其在构作检索式时的巧用;截词类型及使用技巧;数据库选择标准及使用技巧等等。
This paper summarizes, especially in DIALOG system, a set of effective skills of international online retrieval: the choosing of basic terms in searching units; the avoidance of the use of words with low frequency; the coordination of concepts by using basic terms; the understanding of the traditional usage of specialized terms used abroad; the mastery of different spelling of British and American English; the prior order of logical operators and skills in constructing the searching formulations; the features and types of proximity operators and their skills in constructing searching formulations; the types of truncation and using skills; the standards of selecting databases and using skills etc.
