The present paper reviewed the current situation of research and control on poplar diseases in China.The principal contents were diseases and pathogens,division of parasitic specialization and pathogenicity,mechanism and detection of resistance,epidemic pattern and forecast and control technology.The major internal material of poplar diseases since 1980 has been briefly introduced.
